The Manchester Munich Memorial Foundation (MMMF) is offering two United fans a very special opportunity to represent our supporters at next year's annual memorial service in Germany.
On 6 February 2024, we will mark 66 years since the Munich Air Disaster, which claimed the lives of eight first-team players, three staff members, plus 12 of their fellow passengers.
The MMMF will be leading the annual ceremony in Manchesterplatz (in Trudering-Riem, Munich) and is looking for two fans to read out the names of the 23 people who lost their lives in the tragedy and then lay a wreath on behalf of all United fans.
Flight and accommodation costs will be provided, and Reds are invited to apply now if they wish to be considered.

The successful applicant must never have been to the memorial site in Trudering, Munich before and must bring a child or grandchild (aged between 13-18) with them.
If you are between 13 and 18 and wish to apply, you must be accompanied by a parent or grandparent.
Applicants must be based in the UK/Europe.
To apply, email your name and age, your address, your child/grandchild's name and age, plus confirmation that you have never been to the memorial service before.
If you are under 18, please provide the name of the parent/grandparent that would be travelling with you.
The email subject should be 'Munich Fans Representation 2024' and the application submitted to mmmfoundation18@gmail.com. The closing date is Tuesday 10 October.

A draw will take place to decide the winners at the annual Manchester Munich Memorial Foundation Gala Dinner at Old Trafford on Friday 20 October 2023.
The names of the successful nominees will also be published on the MMMF's website and social media platforms.
