August and September fixture changes announced

Tuesday 05 July 2022 16:00

The latest live TV selections for the forthcoming Premier League season have been announced, covering the months of August and September.

With the opening weekend’s make-up – in which we’ll face Brighton & Hove Albion at 14:00 BST on Sunday 7 August - already confirmed, our next seven league matches have all been rearranged.

Off the back of that meeting with the Seagulls, United face a trip to Brentford that will still take place on Saturday 13 August, but now at the later time of 17:30 BST, with it set to be broadcast on Sky Sports in the UK.

Erik ten Hag’s Reds will then go up against Liverpool in a home game that will now be played on Monday 22 August (20:00 BST), also live on Sky Sports.

A visit to the south coast and St Mary’s, home of Southampton, is scheduled for the weekend after that and we now know that fixture will be shown by BT Sport in the 12:30 BST lunchtime slot. There is no change to the date as it had originally been pencilled in for 15:00 BST start.

That contest with the Saints is now set to be our final match of the season’s opening month, as our trip to Leicester City in the midweek that follows has been moved back to Thursday 1 September. That one is a 20:00 BST start and will also be broadcast live by BT Sport.
September will then continue for United with consecutive 16:30 BST starts against London sides, either side of the midweek in which our first Europa League match will take place.

On the first Sunday of the month, we take on Arsenal at Old Trafford before a trip to the capital to face Crystal Palace on the following weekend. Both matches will be shown live in the UK on Sky Sports.

That match at the Theatre of Dreams has moved to Sunday 18 September (14:00 BST), as we are set to participate in the Europa League in the prior midweek.

The fixture is not set to be shown live on TV in the UK.
