Cadbury offers free coach travel for Chelsea away

Tuesday 19 November 2024 16:10

Supporters travelling on the official coach for United Women versus Chelsea this weekend have been offered free travel by global partner Cadbury, following the late cancellation of the original fixture on 6 October.

The original fixture was postponed at late notice due to football scheduling conflicts between the UEFA Women’s Champions League and the Women’s Super League, and will now take place at Kingsmeadow this Sunday 24 November, 12:00 GMT kick-off.

Cadbury will not only cover the cost of the supporter coach but will also provide away supporters with chocolate at the game, in recognition of our fans’ incredible commitment to following the team.

Two of our games have been rescheduled for new dates in the diary.

Rick McGagh, United's director of fan engagement, said:

“We are very proud of our dedicated away following and appreciate the many hours they spend travelling up and down the country in support of our women’s team. Late fixture changes and cancellations have a significant impact on match-going fans, and we understand and share fans frustrations when these changes occur.

“We are delighted to work with Cadbury to offer free coach travel for those fans who had booked to travel to the original game with our official coach partner. And we would also like to thank Cadbury for gifting chocolate bars to all our ticketholders for Sunday’s game.”
