Casemiro became the ninth Brazilian to score a goal for Manchester United on Saturday, when his late header earned the Reds a draw against Chelsea.

The midfielder scored in stoppage time to salvage a point for United, after the hosts went ahead in the 87th minute through Jorginho's penalty.

Casemiro now joins an esteemed list of Brazilian Reds to have notched for the club, after becoming the tenth player from his homeland to represent United when he joined from Real Madrid in the summer.

Casemiro's late, late equaliser at Chelsea created absolute scenes in the away end – and among the players!

Current Reds Fred and Antony also feature on the list, with the latter also achieving this feat just this season too.

Antony, who made the the move to United from Ajax in the summer, scored on his debut against Arsenal in September, before notching in his next two Premier League fixtures for the Reds.

The winger's goals against Man City and Everton made him the first player in United history to score in his first three Premier League appearances for the club.

Fred has been on the scoresheet multiple times for United, and most recently found the back of the net in our dominant 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.

Alex Telles - currently on loan at Sevilla - and former Red Andreas Pereira also feature on the list.

Twins Rafael da Silva and Fabio da Silva, prominent figures during Sir Alex Ferguson's tenure, and fellow countryman Anderson all scored during their time at the club too. Fred and Anderson lead the way on the list of our goalscoring Brazilians, with nine goals in all competitions each.

Rounding off the list is Jose Kleberson, who netted twice during his two years with United.

Casemiro's goal was certainly an important one, with United looking to build some momentum both domestically and in Europe, ahead of the break for this winter's World Cup in Qatar.

And our no.18 appears to be instilling himself as a fan favourite with every passing fixture. Indeed, manager Erik ten Hag has been pleased with the Brazilian's contribution since coming into the side.

"He is growing from game to game and now, he made the equaliser," Erik said of Casemiro, after the clash at Stamford Bridge. "And that gives the team and him more confidence. We need headers, and it was a great finish.

"But he is coming in the team and you see how important he is. I think he was massive today in his performance. He is now matching the Premier League intensity and from game to game he will be better. I am confident of that.”
