Eriksen proving he can be a major influence
Christian Eriksen has suggested when he can enjoy getting into a rhythm of playing matches, he is capable of producing his best football.
That certainly looks the case at the moment, as he returns from international duty with Denmark with praise ringing in his ears from all quarters. The midfielder seemed to laugh when asked by the press in advance of the UEFA Nations League matches whether it was a problem that he was facing a taxing run of fixtures, as he indicated it was also seen as an issue when he was not featuring as regularly for Manchester United during previous call-ups.
Eriksen, like most footballers, loves playing football and the more minutes the better for the 32-year-old.
If he is selected against former club Brentford on Saturday, it will be his ninth United appearance of the campaign and he is relishing the chance to shine.

Certainly, the reaction to his latest performance, in the 2-2 draw with Switzerland for his country, has been very positive. A superb assist for Lazio's Gustav Isaksen was followed by a 69th-minute equaliser for the Danes, his 11th goal involvement of 2024/25 for club and country.
Performing in a deeper role, Eriksen pulled the strings and his input did not go unnoticed by both coaches.
"The pass Christian made when Denmark equalised at 1-1 can only come from a player with his qualities," said Switzerland boss Murat Yakin. "It was just a super pass. He is a fantastic player who did not make a single wrong pass throughout the match."
Eriksen has now racked up 138 caps for Denmark, scoring 43 times, but can concentrate on all things United before the next international break in November.
"Throughout an entire generation, Christian has been of great importance to the Danish national team," coach Lars Knudsen told reporters afterwards. "He is a fantastic personality who gets along with everyone, regardless of whether they are young or old. Christian is incredibly important for Denmark now and, not least, for the future."

His intelligent probing could prove vital in breaking down Brentford at the weekend as he looks to show why he is such a valuable option for Ten Hag. It is easy to see why his enduring qualities are earning such respect.
