Tuesday 04 October 2022 14:50

Wednesday is an eventful day at Manchester United, as we ramp up preparations for Thursday's Europa League game with Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus.

Erik ten Hag's side fly out to the Mediterranean island on Wednesday afternoon, in what is only our second visit to Cyprus - we played Israeli side Maccabi Haifa there in the Champions League, 20 years ago.

Prior to stepping on to the plane, however, United will train at Carrington, while Ten Hag will also hold his pre-match press conference here in Manchester.

Here's a quick guide so you know what to expect on Wednesday...

Early team news for Omonia away

We take a look at how the United squad is shaping up for Thursday's Europa League tie.

The lads will be put through their paces at 09:30 BST, ahead of Thursday's game and the media will be allowed to watch the first 15 minutes of the session, as per UEFA rules.

We'll have the usual updates from our base, including pictures and video, as we see who is at work ahead of the flight later in the day.

Ten Hag will appear before the media at 11:30 BST from the Jimmy Murphy Centre, alongside a player whose identity will be confirmed closer to the time.

Erik could potentially provide updates on injured defenders Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane, alongside a range of other topics.

As usual, you'll be able to watch the press conference live on MUTV, now available in the United App and on, while we'll have the important updates across all of our platforms.

United fly out on Wednesday afternoon, with the journey to Cyprus taking around five hours.

Ahead of their arrival at Manchester Airport, we hope to update you with Ten Hag's travelling squad for the game, as we look for a second straight European win on the road.
