Confirmed: Atletico's 19-man squad
Atletico Madrid have named a 19-man squad for tonight's Champions League tie with Manchester United.
Diego Simeone confirmed in his pre-match press conference that captain Koke would miss the game with a groin injury, and the 30-year-old has not been included in los Colchoneros' selection for the game at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
Matheus Cunha and Daniel Wass are also absent through injury, as is back-up goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte, while Yannick Carrasco is suspended. However, Thomas Lemar is available again after a Covid-related spell out.
Line-ups Debate: Do we go with a back five?
ArticleWe look at the cases for and against playing a three-man central defence in Madrid.
Star forwards Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suarez and Joao Felix are all included in the list, although it is possible that only one of the trio will start the game, with Griezmann still on the injury comeback trail and Angel Correa currently Atleti's most in-form attacker.
Madrid daily newspaper La Razon has predicted a 5-3-2 formation for Simeone's side, with Jan Oblak in goal, protected by wing-backs Sime Vrsaljko and Renan Lodi and a centre-back three of Jose Gimenez, Stefan Savic and Reinildo Mandava.
They reckon Marcos Llorente, Hector Herrera and Geoffrey Kondogbia will feature in a combative midfield, behind Correa and Felix.
Of course, the XIs won't be confirmed until 75 minutes before kick-off, at 18:45 GMT and that includes United's line-up - you can still pick yours in the United Predictions game in our App.
