Van de Beek: My time is coming
Donny van de Beek says he has enjoyed his first few months as a Manchester United player, and is hoping to make a big impact during the rest of his debut season.
The midfielder joined the Reds from Ajax over the summer and has featured in 10 of our 12 matches so far in this campaign.
Despite that, media coverage of Donny since his arrival has tended to focus on the occasions when the 23-year-old hasn't started games, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rotating all of his midfielders through a congested beginning to the campaign.

The boss has also regularly reiterated Donny will have plenty of playing opportunities in 2020/21, something our no.34 acknowledges himself.
When asked about the instructions he’s receiving from Ole, van de Beek told Dutch broadcaster NOS: “That I have to be patient, but also that I just have to continue with what I am doing.
“He's seen that I have a good impact when I come into the field. My time is definitely coming. And when those opportunities come, I have to be there.
“I'm a patient person, but of course you go there [to United] to play as much as possible. I also think – in the minutes that I have made, in the times that I have come in – I have shown that I can add something to the team.”
Donny certainly made an instant impact on his United debut, when he netted our only goal in an otherwise disappointing 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace. Van de Beek was then voted Man of the Match three days later as we beat Luton Town in the Carabao Cup, and played a key role in last month’s emphatic 5-0 Champions League victory over RB Leipzig.
Speaking after he netted in the Netherlands’ 1-1 draw against Spain on Wednesday, Donny said that since his arrival at Old Trafford he has been made to feel welcome by everyone at the club.
“It sounds like a cliche for me to say this, because of course I would have liked to play more, but I really enjoy being in a nice team. I am received very well and helped by everyone.”
