London move for Levitt

Tuesday 08 September 2020 09:40

Manchester United midfielder Dylan Levitt has joined Charlton Athletic on loan for the 2020/21 season.

The 19-year-old, who made his senior United debut in last November's Europa League clash with Astana, embarks on his first temporary move away from the club.

The Bodelwyddan-born prospect featured 14 times for Neil Wood’s Under-23s side last season. Levitt contributed three goals and four assists as the team finished second in Premier League 2 and were subsequently promoted to Division One.

It has been a great week for Levitt, who was given his senior international bow by club legend Ryan Giggs as Wales beat Finland in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday.

The midfielder will be hoping to impress and receive regular game-time with the Addicks, who begin their League One campaign away to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.

Levitt, who joined United at the age of eight, is the fifth player to make a temporary move away from the club during the window following Tahith Chong, Aliou Traore, Matej Kovar and Joel Pereira.

The club continues to prioritise individual development over short-term team results and looks to provide the most challenging and beneficial environment for each player in the Professional Development Phase.
