Garnacho on bench for West Ham match

Erik ten Hag has named the starting XI which will begin Sunday's Premier League match away to West Ham.

The Reds are looking to respond to Thursday evening's last-gasp defeat to Brighton on the south coast and further cement our hold on a top-four spot.

It will be another serious examination of United's aspirations, though, with the Hammers keen to confirm their Premier League survival as soon as possible.

Ten Hag has made three changes to the starting XI that began our game against the Seagulls.
Tyrell Malacia comes in at left-back to replace Diogo Dalot, who drops to the substitutes' bench.

In midfield, Christian Eriksen – an unused substitute in the game at the Amex – is preferred to Fred.

At the forefront of the Reds' attack, Wout Weghorst comes in for his first start since the away defeat to Newcastle United in early April.

There's big news on the bench, too, where Alejandro Garnacho returns from injury – as hinted by Ten Hag in the pre-match press conference. The winger has not featured since he picked up the knock in our goalless Premier League draw with Southampton.
Ahead of kick-off, Erik spoke to BT Sport to discuss his adjustments.

"We have to go back to our high standards and you have to do it always, every game, all 11," began the boss.

"Does Christian Eriksen add more creativity? We know he can, but as I said before the game [at] Brighton, it was tactical. But you know with Christian, we get football, we get rotation, we get key passes and final passes."

On Garnacho's return, Erik said: "He’s back for the last games of the season and he had a huge impact also from the bench, so yeah, he’s back."
