Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has named his team to take on Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena.

The Reds kick off our UEFA Champions League Group A campaign with a tough examination against the Bundesliga's dominant club, with Harry Maguire joining the list of absentees before the flight out to Bavaria.

The big news is Facundo Pellistri is the one change to the team that started the defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.

The Uruguay international makes his Champions League debut, in place of Scott McTominay.

McTominay is named among the substitutes, with three keepers on the bench.

Youngsters Daniel Gore and Omari Forson are also in reserve, with Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Martial among the attacking options for Ten Hag.

It will be interesting to see which formation the Reds use from the first whistle.

Bayern have, as expected, chosen Harry Kane as their central striker, while Joshua Kimmich is fit to skipper the side. Kingsley Coman is back on the bench for the hosts.
