When will the Premier League fixtures be out?

Thursday 30 May 2019 08:00

The 2018/19 season is only just reaching its conclusion across Europe, but the planning for next term is already well under way.

Manchester United’s calendar for the 2019/20 campaign will start to take shape and the excitement will really begin to build, when the Premier League fixtures are published two weeks from today.

The official release time is 09:00 BST on Thursday 13 June, which is just one of several standout dates for United fans this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first fixture release day as United boss will be on 13 June.

As ever, all dates and kick-off times will be provisional until the live televised fixtures in the UK are announced in due course by broadcasters Sky Sports and BT Sport

United will face Aston Villa, Norwich City and Sheffield United once again after those three founder members of the Premier League were all promoted from the Championship. They replace the sides relegated to the second tier - Cardiff City, Fulham and Huddersfield Town.

Of course, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will embark on his first full season in charge as manager once his men have completed a pre-season programme which takes us to Australia, China, Norway and Wales.

Old Trafford had the honour of hosting the very first Premier League game of 2018/19, when the Reds beat Leicester City 2-1 on a Friday night thanks to an early Paul Pogba penalty and Luke Shaw’s first career goal.

The opening round of fixtures for 2019/20 will be played on the weekend of 10/11 August, with the campaign set to conclude on 17 May 2020.

Who will our first opponents be next season? When will we face our fiercest rivals Liverpool and Manchester City? Will we be at home on Boxing Day? Who will we play on the final day? All of these questions, and more, will be answered in a fortnight's time.

The Reds have started three of the last four league campaigns at Old Trafford.

Fixture release day is always an exciting time for fans, who can pencil dates in their diaries and start to make plans for the season ahead. You can even sync United's fixtures to your schedule by registering your details in advance at calendar.manutd.com.
