United Women: Your free digital programme

Thursday 24 March 2022 16:00

The game that every fan of Manchester United Women has been waiting for will be played this Sunday, when the Reds line up at Old Trafford in front of thousands of supporters for the first time.

Whether you’re bringing the family on Mother’s Day – with pre-match entertainment outside the stadium starting at 10:00 BST – or thinking of attending with friends, with some great-value tickets still available, it’s all set up to be quite the event as Marc Skinner’s side take on Everton in the Women’s Super League.

What’s more, it looks set to be a glorious day in Manchester (17°C at kick-off, in case you were wondering). As for the Reds, Skinner speaks for his whole team when he says: “We feel privileged to perform at Old Trafford, it’s a special occasion – but we must look after business first.”

With his side pursuing a top-three finish in the WSL that would bring the rewards of Champions League football next season, victory against the Toffees couldn’t be more important, with the manager's message to his players in the match programme being: “Don’t forget the game for the occasion”.

The boss’s pre-match notes kick off the special collector’s edition of the official club publication, which will be available from kiosks inside the stadium on Sunday. Priced at a bargain £1.50, the 60-page programme also comes with a giant poster of the squad.

But to whet the appetite even more for Sunday (and to show our love for those unable to make it to the game), you can enjoy the digital version of the match programme for free, simply by clicking here.

Featuring plenty of great video content, alongside the extended interview with captain Katie Zelem, there’s the fascinating story of the Manchester United Ladies amateur side who played before the turn of the century, and their victorious day at Wembley in 1996 in front of over 70,000 fans.

Elsewhere, Maria Thorisdottir shares her personal memories of the first time the professional United Women's team played at Old Trafford - during lockdown last year.

The programme also recaps how our Under-21s won the WSL Academy League Cup earlier this month, as well as sharing many of your great Mother’s Day messages, alongside the usual quizzes, opposition pages, stats and plenty more.

We hope you enjoy the digital programme – and if you are there at Old Trafford on Sunday, don’t forget to pick up your special collector’s print edition and A2 poster!
