Fulham fixture confirmed

Manchester United's home game with Fulham next month is due to go ahead as planned.

The Reds' meeting with the Cottagers takes place at Old Trafford on Saturday 24 February, kicking off at 15:00 GMT, and will not be shown live on TV in the UK.

It would have been postponed had Marco Silva's men made it through to the Carabao Cup final, which is being staged at Wembley the following day.

However, the west Londoners could only draw 1-1 with Liverpool in the second leg of their semi-final, following a 2-1 loss at Anfield.

It means they miss out on facing neighbours Chelsea on 25 February, when the trophy we won last season is up for grabs.

United are scheduled to have five Premier League matches in February, and the Fulham clash offers the opportunity to complete the double over them, after a dramatic 1-0 triumph at Craven Cottage in the corresponding fixture. Bruno Fernandes grabbed an injury-time winner down by the Thames.
