Manchester United Women have a different mentality this term, according to Hayley Ladd, after the Reds recorded a fifth consecutive WSL win.

The midfielder was on the scoresheet, along with Leah Galton and Nikita Parris, as Marc Skinner's side ran out 3-0 victors away to Everton.

Following the victory, which moved United back to the summit of the league table, Ladd expressed her pride in the team's performance on Merseyside.

Ladd: Our performances have been mature

Hayley Ladd believes United Women have developed this season, and the way the Reds manage games shows that...

“The girls worked really hard,” Ladd told club media, in her post-match interview.

“There were times when Everton had a lot of the ball and we just needed to keep calm, keep around the ball and dictate play as well as we could.

“The backline were amazing at sweeping everything up and made it more predictable. [It was] a good team effort and we’re pleased with that.”

The Welsh international believes the Reds are showing progress this term and getting better at managing games.

“I think our performances have [been] mature,” said Ladd. “We ride out the elements where we don't have to have a lot of the ball, or we don't have to press everything.

“We grind them out and when we do get on the ball, [we] make it worth it and capitalise as well.”

Leah Galton praises the depth of the United Women squad after the Reds ended a three-game week with a win at Everton...

Ladd's fellow goalscorer Leah Galton was also thrilled with the result, particularly after a week in which United played three fixtures.

“I think it's hard coming off the last game and a three-game week, and I think the performance we put out today was pretty good,” explained our no.11.

“We won 3-0, [got a] clean sheet, [so] I'll take it any day of the week. This week's been a big team effort. We've got a lot of rotation in the squad, and we've had three games, so it's just props to everybody.”

TICKETS FOR TWO HUGE HOME GAMES

All supporters can buy tickets for United Women's home WSL matches against reigning champions Chelsea - at Leigh Sports Village next Sunday evening, 6 November - and Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Saturday 3 December.

The latter will be the first time Marc Skinner's side have played at the Theatre of Dreams since last March, when England Lionesses star Alessia Russo netted twice in a thrilling 3-1 win over Everton and was joined on the scoresheet by captain Katie Zelem.

The Old Trafford crowd promises to be even bigger this time around and could even be a record attendance for the WSL. For your chance to be a part of history, visit our dedicated women's match tickets page.
