Just a few weeks after his move from Amsterdam to Manchester, Donny van de Beek was already showing his new colours in a social media post which United fans all across the world were instantly impressed with.

The below image of Donny playing pool at home, on a bright red table emblazoned with the club crest, appeared on his Instagram Stories soon after his summer transfer and immediately caused a buzz in the fanbase.

With the current coronavirus pandemic still keeping crowds away from Old Trafford, van de Beek is still to properly meet the fans, four months after his signing from Ajax was announced.

The Reds midfielder is bound to be lamenting that fact, given he always valued a close relationship with the supporters at his previous club.

Van de Beek was adored at Ajax and had a special connection with the fans, as was evidenced by the impromptu celebration that happened in September outside the Amsterdam ArenA, his home stadium for many years.

The gathering happened after Netherlands' home clash with Italy, his first international appearance after his transfer to United was made official.

As for our supporters, Donny had this message in his very first interview with us.

"I hope to see you soon in the stadium, when it’s allowed after the coronavirus," he said. "I will give everything to the club and I hope we can win titles and a lot of trophies.”

While the long wait for the Dutchman's first meeting with the fans continues, he will no doubt keep engaging with the faithful through his social media posts, just like the one of his impressively red pool table.
