Simpson and George return to the grass

Manchester United Women duo Jess Simpson and Gabby George have begun the next stage of their respective ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) recoveries.

Pictured back on the grass at Carrington, the pair have been sidelined since October with their injuries coming just a week apart.

Jess returned from her loan spell at Bristol City with the setback last year, after making just one appearance for the Robins.

Gabby, who joined from the Reds from Everton in the summer, was unfortunate to suffer her injury in our 1-1 draw with Leicester City in the WSL.

A sight to behold, as both Jess and Gabby took a huge step in their ACL recoveries.
Emma Watson is the other United Women player who has suffered the same type of problem this season, with the trio all bidding to return in the summer months.

Marc Skinner's side have just five games remaining until the end of the current campaign, with a top-three finish and an Abode Women's FA Cup final success still a real possibility.
