Mainoo wins Goal of the Month for May

The teenager took no hesitation in sliding his shot past Stefan Ortega in our FA Cup final victory at Wembley, as we beat Pep Guardiola's side 2-1 in our final outing of the season.

Kobbie has enjoyed superb season on an individual note, as he also topped the charts to win our Player of the Month prize for May, too.

Much has been made of the pass from Bruno Fernandes to pick him out in the build up, as our no.37 finished off a well-worked team goal during the 39th minute of action.

Claiming a whopping 57 per cent of the vote, Mainoo more than edged out his competition as voted for by you, the Manchester United fan base.

Amad's thunderous effort against Newcastle United garnered 16 per cent in second place, as he smashed home en route to our victory over the Magpies.

In third came Ella Toone's rocket against Tottenham in our 4-0 Adobe Women's FA Cup final victory, with her goal gaining a tidy 14 per cent overall.

But Kobbie's strike has stolen the hearts in our final Goal of the Month prize of the season, as Erik ten Hag's men ended the season in fine fettle.

As well as lifting silverware for the second consecutive campaign, our progression in Europe was also confirmed, with Europa League football to be played by the Reds in 2024/25.

It is worth noting this is Mainoo's second-winning strike for our Goal of the Month accolade, as his curling effort against Liverpool claimed last month's prize.

We can't think of many better goals to win it and our congratulations goes to Kobbie on what has been a terrific 2024 for the youngster!
