Lucia Garcia: I believe in this team
Manchester United forward Lucia Garcia insists she is at the right club to fight for the highest honours in women's football.
Ahead of Saturday’s semi-final against Brighton, the Spaniard told club media that she has faith in our current squad to compete at the top level.
“This is a big club, we should be [as high as] possible in the league,” said Garcia.
“I believe in this team, this is the reason [why] I came here, I had this expectation when I [signed]."

That sentiment is echoed by her manager, Marc Skinner.
With a crucial domestic run-in beginning this weekend, the boss’s message to his players is quite simply to ‘fight’ for what we want.
Lucia recalled: “[He told us] we are still in two competitions and can be in a third next year, so let's fight for the two main things we have this year; the league and the FA Cup.”

While we’ve earned a 100 per cent record against Brighton in the league – winning both encounters 4-0 – Garcia is still expecting to face a difficult Seagulls side at Leigh Sports Village later today.
“I think this weekend's match is going to be a tough one,” she told us. “We played against them [two weeks ago] but I think it’s not going to be the same.
“It’s a different match, a different environment, a different situation, so we have to be compact in the game.
“It’s our final before the final, so we have to be a team more than ever.”
