#MUFCMundial: Spain

Thursday 05 July 2018 12:17

Manchester United fan Ali is representing Spain in our #MUFCMundial series as the 2018 World Cup enters its critical phase.

His nation may have suffered a shock exit at the hands of hosts Russia in the last 16, but the huge Reds supporter has told us who he’s backing to be in the 15 July final and which Spaniard he’d most like to see in a United shirt…

Which country are you representing and why?
Spain, because of their team work and balance, and playing beautiful football for the past 10 years.

Ali is backing France and England to reach the World Cup final, after his native Spain were knocked out.

How sad were you to see your country knocked out? Who do you think will reach the final and win?
It hurts seeing my team go out, for sure, but I think France against England would be a great final.

How would you sum up your feelings about the World Cup using emojis only?
😐

Which United star do you think will shine brightest during the World Cup?
Paul Pogba and so far he is one of the best midfielders and his long passing is the best.

Have you ever been to Old Trafford?
Yes!

Which player from your national team would you love to see in a United shirt?
I would love to see Sergio Ramos in a United jersey. We need a player like him in our central defence.

Ali would like to see Spain captain and Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos at United.

GET INVOLVED!

As the World Cup continues, we are looking for a United fan to represent each of the 32 nations competing in Russia.

If you would like to get involved, send an email to MUFCMundial@manutd.co.uk with your country in the subject line but please note, we may not be able to respond to every message we receive. Thank you.
