Manchester United have confirmed the new intake of Academy players for the Professional Development Phase ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Last term, the Under-18s won the FA Youth Cup and finished third in the U18 Premier League.

Elder members of Travis Binnion’s team will now play more regularly for the Under-21s, who will be taken by Mark Dempsey for their bespoke games programme.

Players from the previous campaign’s Under-16s side step up into the Professional Development Phase, which will further focus on individual player development next year with an increase in flexible coaching.

The initial intake includes 14 players with many of the group already experiencing Under-18s football last season, with the promotion of youngsters above their age-group helping to further their development.
