New cup season tickets are sold out for 2022/23

Manchester United can confirm that its newly-introduced Cup Season Tickets have now sold out, just five days after going on sale.

The Cup Season Ticket is a new product introduced for the 2022/23 campaign as part of measures to offer fans more choice, flexibility and affordable access to Old Trafford, following consultation with the club’s Fans’ Advisory Board.

Under the revised policies, holders of full Season Tickets were given the opportunity to ‘opt out’ of Cup ties, including the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and UEFA Europa League, if they could not attend all games.

This led to more than 6,000 seats becoming available, and these were offered to Official Members as Cup Season Tickets, guaranteeing entry to Old Trafford for all home cup ties next season.

The provisional dates for our 38 league games in 2022/23 have been released.

Members of the Fans’ Advisory Board worked closely with the club to develop the new policies, which were also backed by our Fans’ Forum.

Collette Roche, United’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “With demand for seats at Old Trafford far exceeding supply, we’re pleased to have created an attractive new product that will allow thousands of fans guaranteed access to cup games while increasing flexibility for existing Season Ticket-holders.
“This initiative demonstrates the value of strong engagement with fans to listen to good ideas and work together to address problems. In consultation with our Fans’ Advisory Board and Fans’ Forum, we recognised that not all Season Ticket-holders are able to attend every home game during the course of the season. The Cup Season Ticket was a win-win that will give more fans access to Old Trafford and help keep the stadium full and vibrant.”
