This is a moment to be part of history: introducing our Change Is Here campaign...

Since the initial campaign launch on International Women’s Day in March, Old Trafford has hosted United’s Women’s Super League fixture against Everton Women, as well as England’s victory over Austria in the sold-out opening game of the UEFA Women’s European Championships in July.

Almost 100,000 fans attended those two games, and another big crowd is expected on Saturday 3 December when United Women take on Aston Villa at Old Trafford – the third major women’s match to be held at the Theatre of Dreams in 2022.

Following the success of the UEFA European Championships in the summer the nation has come out in force to support women’s football and that is reflected in demand to attend matches at Leigh Sport’s Village (LSV) with more tickets being snapped up this season than ever before.
The win over Reading Women at LSV on the opening day of the season was a record high home attendance in the WSL and with more than 20,000 tickets already sold for the match against Villa in December, the club are excited by the prospect of breaking more records at Old Trafford. The attendance against Everton Women at Old Trafford in March was 20,421 and the current WSL attendance record is 47,367 set at The Emirates in the North London Derby last month.

Four England Lionesses in Mary Earps, Ella Toone, Alessia Russo and Nikita Parris are among those who could feature for United in that historic fixture in December, along with a host of other internationals, rising stars and new faces in Marc Skinner’s team.
