TikTok is a social media platform where users share short videos (usually around 15 seconds long) of themselves. A lot of content centres around doing different challenges such as lip-syncing or dancing! It’s one of the most downloaded apps in the world, available in 150 countries, and in 75 languages.

You just need to download it from your app store and set up an account. Obviously, the first thing to do is to follow @manutd (our official account, authorised with the blue tick), after which you can scroll through millions of video clips on every topic imaginable. You can search for different content using the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen.

To create your own TikTok, just click the plus button at the bottom of your screen. You can record yourself or follow one of the templates available.

If you’ve used Instagram, you’ll be familiar with adding effects to your TikTok. You could, for example, add neon colours or change the colour of your eyes, and you can also add music. To take part in a TikTok challenge, tap the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen to see and search what people are currently up to.
