'Great to see you back': Fans praise Pogba
Manchester United fans have been praising Paul Pogba after his goal and performance in the draw at Burnley on Tuesday night.
Pogba struck in the 18th minute, converting Luke Shaw’s cross to register his first Reds goal for 13 months.
The France international midfielder caught the eye at Turf Moor, particularly in the first half, as he played as a ‘no.8’ in Ralf Rangnick’s recently introduced 4-3-3 system.
Against a typically battling and physical Clarets side, Pogba held his own in the middle of the park, winning possession back seven times – a figure bettered by only Scott McTominay, who was playing as the defensive screen.

One of those instances saw Paul win a high ball in midfield from David De Gea’s goal-kick, allowing United to launch an attack down the left.
A couple of heartbeats later, the ball was rippling the roof of the net and Pogba was backpedalling in celebration, scoring a goal for United in east Lancashire for the second successive year.
While the Reds weren’t victorious this time, Pogba’s showing – in only his second game back from a three-month lay-off – impressed supporters and first, a United legend…

“The thing with Paul is he’s set a standard for himself which is very, very high indeed. And if you slip below that standard... he could slip below that standard, his standard, you’ll still be the best player on the pitch but people won’t recognise you for that.
“People look at your highest standard and want you to do that all the time, but that’s not possible.
“He’s a top-quality player, there’s no question about that. And he’s done well in the last two games.”
