Confirmed: Two more United fixture changes

Friday 02 October 2020 16:00

Manchester United's October schedule is beginning to take shape, following the confirmation of kick-off times for two huge Premier League games.

The Reds will end the month by welcoming two 'big six' rivals to the Theatre of Dreams. On Saturday 24 October, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United side and Frank Lampard's Chelsea will take to the Old Trafford turf for an early evening kick-off at 17:30 GMT, as the game will be shown on Sky Sports.

Our subsequent Premier League match against the Gunners has now been nudged back to the first day of November and will commence at 16:30 GMT on that Sunday afternoon. This encounter between two classic rivals will also be televised on Sky Sports.

Solskjaer's men will also be on Sky Sports this Sunday, 4 October, when we face Tottenham Hotspur at home with kick-off at 16:30 BST.

That match is the start of a busy month for United, with the Champions League returning as well.

Between our visit to Newcastle United for our first game after the international break, and the home match versus Chelsea, the Reds will begin our UEFA Champions League campaign on 20 or 21 October.

The second matchday in Europe will be in the following midweek, on 27 or 28 October, just a few days before the Arsenal game.

The date, venue and opponents for the Champions League matches will be announced in due course.

Meanwhile, the Newcastle away fixture retains a provisional kick-off time of 15:00 GMT on Saturday 17 October but this is still subject to change.
