Man Utd celebrate against Nottingham Forest

United line-up at Molineux explained

Erik ten Hag has made just one change to the Manchester United team that beat Nottingham Forest, as the Reds look to sign-off 2022 with a win away at Wolves.

Marcus Rashford is the only amend from United's midweek win, with Alejandro Garnacho starting in place of our no.10 in attack.

Ten Hag explained that Rashford's omission from the line-up was due to an "internal disciplinary."

All eyes will be on his 19-year-old replacement, who the boss wants to see be "brave".

"I want to see his movement with, but also definitely without the ball," Ten Hag told BT Sport. "He has to attack the defending line with movement behind it."

Luke Shaw lines up alongside Raphael Varane in central defence for a second consecutive game, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka retains his place at right-back.

The boss explained his decision to stick with the same back four, saying: "This backline did really well [against Forest] and also tactical wise, in this game against Wolves, I think it fits very good."

Victor Lindelof has returned to the matchday squad following a brief spell on the sidelines after picking up an illness, with Harry Maguire alongside him on the bench.

Academy prospect Kobbie Mainoo has also been named amongst the substitutes for this afternoon's encounter.

Lisandro Martinez, who returned to the club this week following his World Cup triumph with Argentina, is not included in today's squad.
