United Under-23s to face Doncaster in friendly
The final pre-season week for Manchester United Under-23s was reshaped today with confirmation of a further friendly fixture and the cancellation of another.
Neil Wood's side will face Doncaster Rovers' first team at The Keepmoat Stadium this Thursday afternoon. Kick-off for the game, which will be played behind closed doors, is set for 15:00 BST.
The young Reds were then due to host Everton on Saturday but that fixture at The Cliff has now been called off.

Thursday's game will be the Under-23s' second visit to Yorkshire in the space of six days, following last weekend's entertaining 3-3 draw away to Huddersfield Town.
Doncaster were also in action that day, playing their first competitive fixture of the 2020/21 season. The League One club, who are managed by former West Bromwich Albion boss Darren Moore, bowed out of the Carabao Cup by losing 3-2 at Blackburn Rovers.
United Under-23s will also begin the new campaign with a cup tie, taking on neighbours Salford City in the EFL Trophy. That away fixture has now been confirmed for next Wednesday, 9 September, and will kick off at 19:45 BST at the Peninsula Stadium.
Again, no fans will be permitted to attend while the government's coronavirus restrictions remain in place.
