Garnacho makes senior debut for Argentina
Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho made his senior international debut earlier today (Thursday), as Argentina beat Australia 2-0 in a friendly.
The exciting youngster was named among the substitutes for the clash at Workers' Stadium in Beijing, China, where Lionel Messi wasted no time getting the world champions up and running in the match.
With just two minutes on the clock, Messi received the ball on the edge of the box from Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez and cut inside onto his left foot before bending the ball into the bottom corner.

ArticleReds forward Facundo was involved in the goals for his national team on Wednesday night.
Argentina controlled proceedings for the majority of the fixture, with substitute German Pezzella doubling their lead in the second half.
Alejandro's big moment came shortly after his side went 2-0 up.
Having been called up previously and being forced to pull out through injury, he was now ready to make his first senior appearance for the national side. In the 74th minute, Garnacho came on as a sub, replacing Fiorentina forward Nicolas Gonzalez.
Unfortunately, Alejandro couldn't add any icing onto what had already been a memorable afternoon, with a goal or an assist, and the match ended 2-0.
His senior Argentina debut is another achievement in a brilliant 2022/23 season for the Academy graduate, who signed a new contract in April to keep him at the club until June 2028.
But the 18-year-old's campaign may not be quite over yet. Garnacho will no doubt be keen to get further minutes under his belt when La Albiceleste take on Indonesia at their Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Monday 19 June (13:30 BST).
Congratulations on yet another landmark, Alejandro.
Proud of you, Garna 🫶
