Friday 08 September 2023 15:06

Manchester United’s first home match of the new Women’s Super League season, against Arsenal, was given a new date earlier this week.

It comes following the announcement of the WSL’s latest TV picks, with the game at Leigh Sports Village now set to take place on Friday 6 October. Kick-off is at 19:30 BST.

The fixture will be shown live in the UK on Sky Sports.

From euphoria to heartbreak, there is no doubting the dedication of United's Women's Supporters' Club.

Following the release of this season’s schedule in July, the match was provisionally slated to take place at midday on Sunday 8 October.

It will now take place two days earlier, receiving a primetime Friday-night slot in front of the broadcast cameras.
Our meeting with Arsenal, who like United finished in the league’s top-three spots in the previous campaign, will follow on from our 2023/24 WSL opener away to Aston Villa.

That encounter is set to be played at Villa Park on Sunday 1 October, and gets under way at 12:30 BST.
