United Women Continental Cup quarter-final date confirmed

Monday 30 December 2019 12:00

Manchester United have been drawn at home to Brighton & Hove Albion in the quarter-finals of the Continental Cup.

It will be the second time that we have faced the Seagulls on home turf this season, following on from our impressive 4-0 victory at Leigh Sports Village in the Women's Super League back in November.

The tie will take place on 15 January 2020, with kick-off scheduled for 19:30 GMT.

This will be the second times the sides have played at Leigh this season.

Elsewhere in the draw, the holders, Manchester City, are away to Sheffield United of the FA Women's Championship. Fellow second-tier outfit, Aston Villa, travel to Chelsea, while last season's runners-up, and five-time winners, Arsenal, play host to Reading.

The final itself is provisionally scheduled for Saturday 29 February 2020, subject to broadcast.

It was a successful group stage for Stoney's Reds, with four wins from our four matches, which included a derby win over Manchester City and a 11-1 thrashing of Championship outfit, Leicester City.

United will aim to go one stage further than last season, which saw us eliminated in the semi-finals of the competition to eventual runners-up, Arsenal.
