“After 3 and a half years at the club, I have personally decided it is the right time to pursue new opportunities.

“It is never easy to leave a club when you have such a great connection with the staff, players and fans, but I feel I need to further challenge myself. I have put my heart and [soul] into everything during my time at the club and left nothing to chance. I am immensely proud of what the team has achieved and especially this season reaching the FA Cup final, qualifying for the UWCL and taking the WSL title race to the last game.

“To a special group of players, I cannot thank you enough. What a group! You have been outstanding and have continued to push boundaries daily and drive your own individual and collective standards. Your personalities as people and players are infectious, and this has shown in the way you applied every details asked to better yourself. Records have been broken and new ones set, history has been written and will remain. You have challenged and supported me, and this has made me a better person and coach. I will be your biggest supporter and will continue to watch as you achieve so much success.

“To the hard working and talented staff: You give your all in your individual fields and have provided the players with the resources required to perform consistently at the top of their games. Your work doesn’t go unnoticed as you continue to go above and beyond putting everyone else before yourself. You have supported and improved my knowledge in your specific areas and I will take this into my future endeavours.

“To the most passionate, loyal and enthusiastic fan base in the world! You are unbelievable. From the moment I came to the club I knew you were something special. The support up and down the country has had a positive impact on the team and has played a huge part in their growth. You have significantly grown, setting new club and league records for attendances and this will only flourish! Continue to stand by and support the players, they appreciate you a lot.

“I want to wish everyone at the club the best of luck for the future. I will miss you all, see you soon.”
