The nominations for the FIFA The Best awards have been released, with keen Manchester United Women interest in the player and goalkeeping categories.

Lats season's winner Mary Earps has once again been nominated for the FIFA The Best Goalkeeper award, following a record-breaking season at United and a sublime showing at the Women’s World Cup this summer.

Earps took home the trophy last term for her contributions for club and country, helping England win the 2022 Women's European Championships.

She then recorded a league record of 14 Women’s Super League clean sheets during our history-making 2022/23 campaign, before earning the Golden Glove at Australia & New Zealand in the summer, as England finished runners-up.

Earps is joined in the nominations by Reds newcomer Hinata Miyazawa, who is up for the FIFA The Best Player award, following a breakout World Cup campaign Down Under.

Our new no.20 lit up the world stage as Japan charged to the quarter-finals of the competition, before being knocked out by Sweden. Miyazawa took home the Golden Boot award, scoring five goals in an electric campaign.

Congratulations on your nominations, Mary and Hinata!
