Thank you for supporting from home

Thursday 18 June 2020 16:30

Manchester United would like to thank all our fans for supporting the team from home when the Reds' Premier League campaign restarts on Friday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side take on Spurs in our first visit to the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Everybody associated with the club, and football in general, acknowledges matches are not the same without supporters, but it is imperative they are staged behind closed doors due to the ongoing situation in relation to the coronavirus pandemic.

🎥 Football has changed but we know you're with us! ❤ Because we are always United, and the Reds go marching on...

Both United and Tottenham would like to thank everyone for recognising the importance of following the public health guidelines and staying at home.

The game will be shown live on Sky Sports in the UK and season-ticket holders have been sent an email with two day-pass vouchers for NOW TV. There will be full coverage of the match, as always, on MUTV, the Official App and ManUtd.com.

Of course, we will also be covering the action via our social media channels, and are running our Stay Safe, Stay United and #UnitedAtHome campaigns. Fans can upload celebrations, team talks and home videos to be in with a chance of being featured in the live matchday blog.

You can even get involved in predicting our line-up in a bid to win prizes.

For home games, starting with the visit of Sheffield United next Wednesday, we have also launched 'On the Pitch’, a new initiative that will give fans the opportunity to appear virtually, on the digital boards around the ground.

However, it is essential that no supporter travels to any stadiums on matchdays in order to help protect the safety of themselves, their families, friends and the wider public.

"We’re going to miss the fans," skipper Harry Maguire told us. "Home and away, they follow in great numbers and the support is incredible. But we know they’re going to be in front of their TV screens, watching us, shouting us along, and the main thing is we want to put smiles back on their faces."

Thank you from everyone at Manchester United for your continued loyal support.
