Carrick's United set for a big week of fixtures
It’s a big week for Michael Carrick’s Manchester United with two important Premier League fixtures against Everton and Crystal Palace.
While it’s frustrating for fans to wait until Monday night, we do have the benefit of knowing the exact state of play in the table.
Anything but a defeat on Merseyside would lift us back up to fourth and above Chelsea, who were held to a 1-1 draw with Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
A win over Everton would create a three-point gap over Liam Rosenior’s Blues.
Every Premier League goal at Goodison Park
Watch all 56 Premier League goals United scored at Goodison Park, as we prepare for our Hill Dickinson Stadium debut...
Victory would also move us to within three points of third-placed Aston Villa, who dropped points at the weekend in a 1-1 home draw against Leeds United, with recent signing Tammy Abraham scoring late on for the Midlanders.
Tune in to Matchday Live on MUTV from 19:00 GMT for an hour of exclusive build-up to Everton away.
Live radio commentary will be available during the game, followed by our Matchday Review programme.
Highlights will be available from midnight, including the Full 90 match replay.
After Everton, attention will turn to the weekend’s fixtures and, for us, that is an Old Trafford outing against Palace.
As you can see below, a number of our rivals are set for challenging fixtures, so there could be another opportunity to build momentum…
