Kirsty Hanson in action for Manchester United Women against Birmingham City

New date for United Women's Birmingham trip

Thursday 20 February 2020 16:00

Manchester United Women's away match against Birmingham City has been given a new date, after the original Women's Super League fixture was postponed just before Christmas.

Casey Stoney's Reds will now travel to SportNation.bet Stadium, home of Solihull Moors FC, on Wednesday 25 March. The game will kick off at 19:30 GMT.

United beat the Midlands outfit 3-1 away in our last meeting, in the Continental League Cup on 11 December, and the teams would have reconvened at the same ground four days later in the league had heavy rain not caused the Solihull pitch to become waterlogged.

As things stand, the return fixture is due to be the last game of the 2019/20 season for Stoney's side, with Birmingham visiting Leigh Sports Village on Saturday 16 May.

Two of our other WSL matches are still to be rescheduled - Liverpool away (postponed from 12 January) and Chelsea at home (should have been 9 February).
