Opposition team news: Moyes hopeful for Hammers trio
David Moyes expects to be able to welcome three key men back into the West Ham United side for Sunday's Premier League showdown with Manchester United.
The former Reds manager has provided an update on his plans for the 19:00 BST kick-off at the London Stadium, on the weekend of King Charles III's coronation, in what has become a vital fixture for both clubs.
The Hammers are only four points clear of the relegation zone, after three successive defeats. Meanwhile, Thursday's late 1-0 loss at Brighton & Hove Albion has increased the pressure on our bid to finish in the top four, in order to clinch a place in next season's Champions League.
Team news for West Ham trip
ArticleErik will have to rely on largely the same squad as at Brighton, but he hopes to have one Red back from injury.
The east Londoners lost 3-0 at Manchester City in midweek, with Moyes citing illness as the reason for captain Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Nayef Aguerd all being absent.
While the Hammers manager claims there is still sickness within the camp, he hopes the aforementioned trio will be available.
The influential Rice has made 43 appearances across four competitions this term, a tally only bettered by his fellow midfielder Soucek (44), winger Said Benrahma (46) and forward Jarrod Bowen (47).
"They've been in today," said Moyes at his pre-match press conference, when asked about Rice, Soucek and Aguerd.
"Today was the first day we've had the chance to assess them. They've done a bit of training and we hope they'll all be available on Sunday.
"One other player was sent home this morning and another has said they don't feel good, so we have to hope we can contain it. It looks as though it's more like sickness and the players are getting over it quickly.
"If you're fatigued, you're likely to pick up colds or sickness. I think Manchester United and ourselves have had the most difficult schedules. We've had a really difficult schedule. Would I put getting the illness down to that? I don't know."

Meanwhile, centre-back Kurt Zouma and forward Gianluca Scamacca are set to miss out, while full-back Vladimir Coufal is nursing a hamstring problem.
"We're not going to give a timeline on Kurt because we know he's a player who improves quickly," added Moyes. "But he has an ankle issue."
The confirmed line-ups will be announced on ManUtd.com and in the United App at 18:00 BST on Sunday evening, one hour before kick-off at London Stadium.
