What's inside the final United Review of 22/23?

Friday 26 May 2023 15:30

No season in Manchester United history has comprised more competitive home games than 2022/23, with Sunday's fixture against Fulham being our 33rd.

It's been an epic campaign and Erik ten Hag's team have been hugely impressive in M16, where Thursday night's key win over Chelsea was our 26th victory in 32 games so far.

Sunday's Premier League meeting with Fulham also marks the end of another series for our match programme, as United Review is printed for the final time in 2022/23.

But though we might be poised to say goodbye to Old Trafford for the summer, the season is very much still alive, with third place in the Premier League up for grabs against the Cottagers, and the small matter of an all-Manchester FA Cup final little over a week away.

All of which means that this latest bumper issue of UR is one you won't want to miss. So, what's inside?

Watch the extended highlights from our penultimate Premier League match of the season...

We kick off, as always, with some insightful programme notes from Ten Hag, who'll reflect on sealing Champions League football for next season and look forward to our much-anticipated cup final against City on 3 June.

We're also previewing the club's annual awards event on Monday night, when the winners of accolades such as the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year and Goal of the Season will be revealed.

And there's an in-depth interview with club captain Harry Maguire, who looks back on an eventful season, the World Cup and lifting his first piece of silverware as a United player.

We've got a big preview of the FA Cup final, and some great, nostalgic photos from United supporters' past trips to Wembley.

There's analysis of Ten Hag's maiden year as Reds boss, too. The Dutchman has already helped the club to win its first major trophy since 2017 and returned us to the Champions League at the first attempt – what's the secret to our smart turnaround under his stewardship?

All your usual UR favourites are present as well. 1968 European Cup winner Paddy Crerand gives his impassioned verdict on the season, there's analysis of our visitors Fulham, plus a wealth of stats, posters and the ever-tricky UR quiz.

Don't miss out – if you can't buy it at Old Trafford on Sunday, you can get the final issue of our matchday programme delivered to your door!
