Jones posts emotional message to fans
Manchester United defender Phil Jones has addressed fans in an emotional message, thanking them for the outpouring of love he received after announcing his departure from the club.
Last month it was announced that our long-standing no.4 will leave United at the conclusion of his contract this summer.
The 31-year-old signed under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2011 and, along with David De Gea, is our longest-serving player in the current squad.
“I want to express my thanks to everyone who has shown love and support to me over the last week,” he wrote on social media.
I want to express my thanks for the incredible love and support over the last week. I’ve known how special the United fans are, but this week has shown just how special. I hope you enjoy the FA Cup Final, I’ll be supporting the lads in the stands, backing them just as much as you— Phil Jones (@PhilJones4) June 1, 2023
