Confirmed: Wan-Bissaka out through illness

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Aaron Wan-Bissaka will miss Monday night’s Premier League game with Arsenal as he is suffering from a bout of tonsillitis.

The illness means the defender will not feature in the league for the first time this campaign, having played the full 90 minutes in each of the previous six encounters.

It will also be just the second game of the season that Aaron has been absent for, the other being in our 1-0 win against Astana in the Europa League two weeks ago.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Unai Emery have selected their XIs for Monday's Premier League clash.

“He [Aaron] has been ill over the weekend,” Ole said ahead of the clash with the Gunners, when speaking to MUTV.

“We had to make a decision yesterday and hopefully he’s back for Thursday."

In the former Crystal Palace man's place, the Reds have lined up with a defence of Axel Tuanzebe, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Ashley Young, with Axel expected to fill the void at right-back created by Wan-Bissaka’s absence.
Tuanzebe has played in the heart of defence in his two previous starts this year, but has experience at right-back, a position he occupied on occasion during his time on loan at Aston Villa.

The youngster has also played in a full-back role against Arsenal before, during our trip to the Emirates at the end of the 2016/17 season, marking Alexis Sanchez.
