Congratulations to Grace Clinton, Maya Le Tissier and Ella Toone, who have all been named in England's 23-player squad for the upcoming UEFA Women's Championship in Switzerland.

The United trio have all been regulars for Sarina Wiegman during the qualifiers and will take part in the tournament, which will be held between 2 and 27 July.

England are, of course, aiming to defend the title they famously won at Wembley in 2022.

Toone was a part of the Lionesses's triumph, scoring the opening goal in the final win over Germany.

She also featured in the run to the 2023 Women's World Cup final, where England were edged out by Spain.

Clinton and Le Tissier can look forward to a first major international tournament, following stellar campaigns with Marc Skinner's side.

Both players were named in the Barclays WSL Team of the Season, with captain Le Tissier an ever-present and Clinton missing just one game as we finished third and qualified for Europe.

While former United goalkeeper Mary Earps has retired from international football, there are several ex-Reds in the squad, including Alex Greenwood, Lauren James and Alessia Russo.

England have been drawn in a tricky-looking Group D, alongside France, the Netherlands - champions in 2017 - and Wales.

The Lionesses' campaign kicks off against the French on Saturday 5 July in Zurich.

Wiegman's side then face the Netherlands at the same venue four days later, before the group closer versus Wales in St Gallen on Sunday 13 July.

Melvine Malard has been selected in Les Bleues' squad.
