McTominay makes Premier League history
Scott McTominay made Premier League history with his quickfire brace in the first half against Leeds United at Old Trafford.
The Manchester United midfielder netted twice inside 160 seconds as the Reds took a 4-1 lead into the interval, before going on to win 6-2.
His first was slammed home, when Bruno Fernandes laid the ball invitingly into his path after Luke Shaw won the ball and fed Marcus Rashford. Soon afterwards, McTominay collected a through ball by Anthony Martial and showed great skill to get it out of his feet before dispatching a clinical finish.
The remarkable start means the Scotland international is the first player in Premier League history to score twice inside the opening three minutes of a match.
The first goal, after only 66 seconds, was our quickest in the top-flight since Robin van Persie struck against West Ham United in November 2012, after only 31 seconds.

McTominay only hit five goals throughout last season, and one of those was in the Europa League, but his attacking dynamism at Old Trafford proved too hot for Leeds to handle.
After the break, he also supplied an assist for Daniel James's goal and continued to look the part in the middle of the park, comfortably winning our Man of the Match award. However, he was forced to leave the field before the end with what appeared to be a groin problem.
