With just over a week to go until United restart our Premier League campaign with a trip to London to face Tottenham, our season recap countdown has reached win no.5 – the reverse fixture against Jose Mourinho's men.

Golden boy Marcus Rashford was the star for Manchester United as the Reds beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Old Trafford.
Rashford scored a goal in both halves, bringing his club total for the season to 12 and restoring Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side to winning ways against a Spurs team now managed by our former boss, Jose Mourinho.
The striker's double took the Reds up the Premier League table into sixth spot and into the following weekend's Manchester derby in buoyant mood.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: “It was excellent. We should have been three or four up and you’re unlucky when you go into half-time at 1-1. It was just about picking the players up again and saying: ‘C’mon that’s the best performance you’ve put on.’ Chelsea in parts [was great], Liverpool in parts, but this was a mature performance. We kept the ball, we played through them, we played round them and in behind them.”

Who else but Rashford? The 22-year-old's scintillating performance helped put a resurgent Spurs to the sword and earned him a massive 87 per cent of the vote in our Official App. Jesse Lingard and Scott McTominay were the other nominees, but after his matchwinning brace, it was only right that our no.10 picked up his third Man-of-the-Match accolade of the season.
