Share your memories of Old Trafford

Friday marks the anniversary of the first match ever to be played at Old Trafford.

While Liverpool ran out 4-3 winners on that day, in 1910, United’s home has gone on to become one of the most iconic venues in world sport and a special place for millions of Reds from across the globe.

The Theatre of Dreams, as the stage would be nicknamed by arguably its greatest-ever player, has seen it all – from bomb damage during the Second World War and the pain of losing much of the Busby Babes side, to welcoming the European Cup-winning team home from Wembley in 1968 and the glorious success of the 1990s and 2000s, under Sir Alex Ferguson.

With the COVID-19 pandemic preventing any supporters from attending home matches for almost a year now, we thought we’d ask you to delve into your archives and share your most treasured memory of Old Trafford.

Was it when you stepped into the ground and saw the famous pristine-green pitch for the very first time?

How you felt when you heard the packed crowd roar under the glare of the floodlights on a big European night?

How about a special match, a title celebration, an incredible goal or something more personal?

Countless moments have been created at the Theatre of Dreams through the decades and we'd like to learn more about our supporters and their highlights of attending Old Trafford – some may end up being used in the Museum in future.

We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
