Ole makes four changes for Chelsea clash

Manchester United's side to face Chelsea in tonight’s Carabao Cup fourth-round tie has been announced.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping to oversee a third away win in three different competitions in just seven days, and despite the heavy schedule, he has made just four changes from the team that triumphed 3-1 against Norwich on Sunday.

Between the sticks, Sergio Romero will be hoping to replicate the clean sheet he earned against Partizan Belgrade last Thursday as he comes in for David De Gea again.

In defence, the Reds have gone for a back three with Marcos Rojo also recalled to the starting XI - he replaces Ashley Young.

Rojo lines up with two players who retain their places from the Carrow Road trip, in Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire who will wear the armband tonight.

It’s a midfield five for United, featuring Scott McTominay, who not only scored the opener on Sunday but also turned in a Man-of-the-Match performance.

He is joined by Fred, Jessie Lingard, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Brandon Williams who starts at left wing-back, having impressed the boss recently with several strong performances.

Leading the line is the duo of Daniel James and Marcus Rashford, as Anthony Martial makes way. Rashford will be eager to get on the scoresheet again, off the back of netting the second of United’s three goals against Norwich at the weekend.

Speaking to MUTV before the game, Solskjaer said: "I feel like coming here against a good team gives us a good chance to give them some problems and go through.

“Chelsea have a big, strong squad with some young players coming in. We’ve got some young ones coming in so I think it’ll be a good game.”

On the pairing of James and Rashford in attack, the manager added: “Anthony played with [Rashford] and Andreas [against Norwich]. Now it's more similar to the Liverpool game with the two of them up there. We hope they’re going to continue their good form.”
