What's happening this week at United?

Monday 18 October 2021 11:00

Old Trafford will stage two huge games in two different competitions this week but the clashes with Atalanta and Liverpool on Wednesday and Sunday respectively aren't the only club events for your diary.

There are also three fixtures for our Academy sides, for example, so here's everything you need to know about the next seven days at United...

MONDAY

While attention on the pitch turns towards the games against Atalanta and Liverpool, the club is gearing up off the pitch for a busy half-term holiday at Old Trafford. Fans who visit the
Museum & Stadium Tour will be able to see the brand new home dressing room, and get involved in fun activities including football training sessions, fancy dress and plenty of photo opportunities. To book your place, visit manutd.com/museum.

The brand new episode of UTD Podcast, featuring former Reds and United States goalkeeper Tim Howard, will be released at 17:00 BST, exclusively to registered users of our Official App.

TUESDAY

With just one day to go before United's Champions League journey resumes, at home to Italian club Atalanta at the Theatre of Dreams, our cameras will be at Carrington to capture part of the morning's training session.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and a member of his squad will then address the media at 13:30 BST and you will be able to watch the press conference in full on MUTV, ManUtd.com and the Official App.

WEDNESDAY

It’s another Champions League night under the floodlights, as United look to build on that superb last-gasp victory against Villarreal in September, when Cristiano Ronaldo’s late winner avenged our UEFA Europa League final heartbreak. Kick-off against Atalanta is at 20:00 BST and there'll be exclusive build-up, radio commentary and post-match analysis on MUTV as well as live updates on ManUtd.com and our Official App of course.

Match tickets for United v Atalanta are on sale to Season Ticket holders who have not already purchased a ticket. If you fancy enjoying a hospitality package for this match, or any home fixture you fancy this season, you can check availability and book via manutd.com/matchdayvip.

United’s Under-19s also are in action, earlier in the day, against Atalanta's Under-19s at Carrington. Kick-off is at 13:00 BST and while the game will not be shown live on MUTV, we will bring you match highlights and photos in due course.

FRIDAY

Ole will face the media once again, this time to preview Sunday's colossal match as United look for a first home Premier League win over our arch rivals since 2018 when Marcus Rashford scored a brilliant double.

Meanwhile, ticket applications for the Reds' away game at Watford on Saturday 20 November will be open to Season Ticket holders and Executive Club Members, who can apply through their ticketing account from 08:00 BST until the same time next Wednesday 27 October.

SATURDAY

Our first side in action at the weekend are Travis Binnion's Under-18s, who host Wolves at Carrington at 11:30 BST. Saturday also brings action for Neil Wood’s Under-23s, who will travel to the capital to face West Ham United at 15:00 BST.

SUNDAY

The main focus of the weekend is, of course, the Premier League blockbuster at home to Liverpool. With kick-off at 16:30 BST, our comprehensive build-up will include the eagerly awaited official team news at 15:30 BST. And even if you're attending the game, watching it live - for example via Sky Sports in the UK - or listening to the radio commentary on MUTV, the updates and in-match stats on ManUtd.com and in our Official App are also not to be missed.
