What's happening at United this week?

Another action-packed schedule awaits Manchester United over the next seven days.

There's plenty in the calendar for our men’s, women’s and Academy sides, with two more dates in the diary for our first team and a crunch WSL clash to look forward to.

We will also look back at all the important anniversaries and birthdays across the week, looking back at key dates from years gone by at United.

Alessia made history on Sunday by becoming United Women's inaugural scorer of three goals in the WSL.

MONDAY

All the necessary post-match content from United Women's triumph over Leicester will be available in our official app and on ManUtd.com.

Our Under-21s return to action, as the young Reds host Chelsea at Leigh Sports Village in a Premier League 2 fixture.. Kick-off is set for 19:00 GMT, and although this game will not be broadcast on MUTV, fans can view updates in the United App, with a report to follow after the final whistle.

Happy 74th birthday to Martin Buchan, who is among the Reds' top 20 all-time appearance following his 12-year stint at the club, spanning the 1970s and 1980s.

TUESDAY

We will start to look ahead to our first team’s next outing, as we welcome Real Betis to Old Trafford on Thursday in the first leg of our Europa League last-16 tie.

It will be the first time United have ever taken on Los Verdiblancos in competitive action, although we did contest a friendly against the La Liga side back in December during the World Cup break.

The latest episode of the UTD Podcast will be available to watch and listen to on ManUtd.com and in the United App - featuring former Red Tom Cleverley. In his episode, Tom gives an exclusive insight in his experience of being a United player. Make sure you don't miss it!

United Women goalkeeper Mary Earps celebrates her birthday on this day, and we’ll be wishing our FIFA Best Women’s Goalkeeper award-winner many happy returns!

WEDNESDAY

Erik ten Hag will host his pre-match press conference at Carrington, ahead of our last-16 first-leg against Real Betis. Fans will be able to watch Erik's press conference on MUTV, which is available in our app and on ManUtd.com. You will also be able to read the key points from his media briefing with reporters.

Expect further pre-match content too, such as team news, confirmation of Real Betis's travelling squad and updates from United's training session at Carrington.

Wednesday is International Women's Day, so look out for special content marking the occasion across our official media.

THURSDAY

United are back in European action, as we host Real Betis in the first leg of our Europa League Round-of-16 tie at Old Trafford.

The game will kick off at 20:00 GMT at the Theatre of Dreams. with BT Sport broadcasting the fixture live in the UK. Our Match Day Live show will commence at 18:55 GMT on MUTV, where we will bring you all the essential pre-match build-up and post-match reaction. Live radio commentary will also be available during the full 90 minutes.

Ten Hag’s men might hope to harness the spirit of a historic European night from this date 57 years ago to overcome our Spanish counterparts. On 9 March 1966, Sir Matt Busby’s Reds impressively defeated Benfica 5-1 away from home, and George Best was infamously dubbed El Beatle, recognising both his world-class football ability and his infamous locks that drew comparisons with the globally recognised English rock band of the same name.

Before the first team take on the Saints, United Women face an away clash with Chelsea in a 12:30 GMT kick-off which will be shown live on BBC One in the UK. This fixture sees the table-topping Reds take on Emma Hayes's Blues in what's sure to be a cracker of a WSL fixture. We will provide text updates of the action in our app and a report will swiftly follow the full-time whistle.

The first team are also in action, hosting Southampton in a 14:00 GMT kick-off. The Premier League fixture is not being broadcast live in the UK, but you can follow the action in our app and on ManUtd.com.
