Malacia included in Netherlands squad
Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia has been included in the Netherlands squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Ahead of the tournament in Qatar, which kicks off on 20 November, Tyrell has been selected as one of 26 players to represent his nation over the coming weeks by former United manager Louis van Gaal.
It means that the 23-year-old is set to go to his first major tournament as a senior international, having received his first cap in September 2021.

Oranje went on to finish top of their qualifying group, losing just once across 10 matches as they booked their place at this year’s tournament having missed out on the 2018 finals in Russia.
Our four Brazilians – Alex Telles, Antony, Casemiro and Fred – were the first to be confirmed, before news of inclusions for Christian Eriksen (Denmark) and Raphael Varane (France) were made official.
Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford made England’s squad, while Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo and Diogo Dalot were picked by Portugal on Thursday.
Before Tyrell’s call-up, Facundo Pellistri was the most recent United player to be selected, for Uruguay.
