Manchester United’s David De Gea is among six goalkeepers who could win the Premier League’s Castrol Save of the Season award - as voted for by fans.

The Spaniard is contention for the annual prize with his full-stretch stop to keep out Kelechi Iheanacho's header in February’s 3-0 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford.

You could help our no.1 to win the accolade by voting for him here.

That brilliant act by David has already won one Premier League award this season, Save of the Month for February.

This superb David De Gea stop against Leicester City has won the Premier League's Save of the Month for February...

Having already produced a superb save to frustrate Harvey Barnes one-on-one earlier in the game, De Gea showed his quality once more when called upon, to prevent Iheanacho scoring.

After the Leicester forward was picked out at the back post by Timothy Castagne’s floated cross in from the right, he headed towards the near side of the goal but was thwarted by David, who sprung across his line to claw the ball away.

At that time in the game, the visiting Foxes were on top and exerting the pressure, but the eventual Golden Glove winner for 2022/23 kept the score at 0-0 before the Reds went on to pick up all three points in comfortable fashion.

Seven other saves join De Gea’s on the second-ever Premier League Save of the Season shortlist, with Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and Newcastle United stopper Nick Pope each having two nominations.

The winner of the award in its inaugural instance last season, Everton’s Jordan Pickford, is also in the running once more, alongside Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga and Southampton’s Gavin Bazunu.

Jordan Pickford (Everton) v Liverpool
Kepa Arrizabalaga (Chelsea) v Aston Villa
