The team also made it to the semi-finals of the Continental Tyres League Cup before defeat at eventual runners-up Chelsea, as well as advancing to the fifth round of the Women's FA Cup.

This season, there are two Women’s Player of the Year awards, with this one to be voted for by the fans and the other from the camp itself. Be sure to keep an eye out for news of the latter’s winner in due course.

In previous campaigns, there has just been one accolade, with captain Katie Zelem claiming the inaugural prize following a fan vote in the team’s first term, before Hayley Ladd and Ona Batlle were picked by team-mates and coaching staff in 2019/20 and 2020/21 respectively.

We will announce this year’s Player of the Year, voted by you, next week. Have your say now.
